@CiaraNi It would've to have stringent criteria tho, incl. random inspectionability and quality control.
- And actual consequences, like #public #NameThemBlameThem being a madatory pre-agreed upon clause next to mandatory refunding of affected customers and insurance to guarantee this and subsequent damages…
The problem may just be that unlike #vegetarian / #vegan / #fairtrade /... #certifications it's hard to enshure said #compliance and evidence it.
- "Well-made" #AIslop & #DeepFakes are indistinguishable from 'garbage quality' #OriginalContent.
- Also it would need clear rules on wjat it considers "#AI": Cuz a "red eye filter" certainly ain't but a "Text-to-Image/Audio/Video Generator" certainly is, but the area in between can be gray.
Also does this cover only #output, but also #toolchain and does it cover only the end product or any #contributions and #derivatives?
- The latter one is certainly a problem even with vegan food & -products because in many cases animal products are either part of them, or used in the process but ain't mandated to be declared. I.e. egg white and/or fish gelatin being used in fruit pressings to clear the juice.
Certainly a sort of "Workibg Group" to setup said standard(s) would be needed.
- I'd say more likely "Standards" than a single one as to provide both easy to achieve and ideal scenarios without compromizing on either.
- I.e. "#AIfree basic" as a sepf-certification of non-use of AI tools & -Outpits vs. "#AIfree platinum" which covers the toolchain and subcontractors / suppliers as well…
I do however worry this could result in some sort of #elitism like an "#artist bar/guild" and those structures lend themselves to abuse, cartellization and corruption…
