Provide an explanation in the body of your post. Otherwise, I'm ignoring it.
I've been thinking of implementing a filter to filter those out automatically, but seeing as my four PRs to #Mastodon code are going nowhere, I don't know when this will happen.
Periodic PSA: if you plop a link in a post, and don't provide a description, you win the following prize:
My utmost disinterest.
I don't want to click on random links. My time is precious. Give me a reason to click on it. Try to also be substantial. For instance,
"OMG! I love this!"
is not substantial.
It is called self-care, by the way.
(Do note that lies are not in your interest here. If you pretend that you're linking to an insightful study of autism, and I click on it and I land on a site about cars... well... Guess what? Blocked!)

Periodic PSA: I don't click on links that don't have *your* take on what I'm going to find at the other end.
No, an embed won't cut it. There are delays to seeing the embed, and that still does not tell me what *you* saw that is so worthy for me to spend time on.
(I think spectra.video does something close to this, but there isn't much I can do about it. It at least put out the title of my video along with the link.)
