Why are the ADF helping the USA bomb Yemen?

Australia needs to stand up for what's right instead of following the USA into every disaster they inevitably end up exacerbating … Vietnam, Iraq, and many others (even Canada didn't follow them into Vietnam).

When it was just at sea, Yemen's Houthis vs USA already seemed like yet another mess we should stay away from.

But bombing Yemen itself is too far. Hasn't Yemen already suffered enough? Yemen got far less attention than Palestine does now, but they were relentlessly starved and bombed by Saudi Arabia for about a decade, while Saudi Arabia were claiming to be aiming at Houthis - a lot like we see Israel doing in Gaza and Lebanon now - and killing at least one Aussie civilian in the process, that we know of.

But the world ignored the unconscionable harm the USA backed Saudis did to Yemen's civilian population.

I don't want to see that starting again, and I definitely don't want Australia being jointly responsible for it happening again.

We should be stopping that in Gaza, NOT re-starting it in Yemen.

The country we should be supporting currently is South Africa. I was watching South Africa present their case to the ICJ today. I wish my country was doing something like that, something I could be proud of.

Australia needs to grow a spine and actually stand up for what's right, instead of just following the USA into every stupid immoral mess they get themselves into.

Simply juxtaposing #Yemen with #SouthAfrica seems like a safer bet than trying to explain the middle?

The attempt to explain being that #AnsarAllah do seem to be fairly objectionable but also seem to kinda have a point, but even that mild way of starting it seems fraut?

But it seems like a disturbing proposition of our leadership think the #Houthis are a bigger problem right now than the IDF?

So maybe I need to be more persuade?

It's probably too late now? It's not like they're gonna drag those eleven bastards home?

I should have done more sooner but that wouldn't have helped either? Thousands of Aussies protested Iraq invasion but we got dragged in anyway because John promised George?

#democracy is a sham? If we ever picked a government I actually liked the "defenders of democracy" would probably #RegimeChange it?
