Germany supplies Ukraine with natural gas for the first time.
Germany is now supplying natural gas to Ukraine via an LNG terminal in the island of Rügen.
The move was announced by the Ukrainian energy company Naftogaz.
The terminal regasifies liquified natural gas shipped in by tankers before feeding it into Germany’s pipeline network for transport across Europe.

Russia fired 35 missiles and 60 drones at sites of the state gas and oil company #Naftogaz in the #Kharkiv and #Poltava regions overnight, said CEO Sergii #Koretskyi, adding the attack was the biggest of the war on gas production.
The European Commission signs a €500 million loan to secure Ukraine's energy security.
The Commission signed a guarantee agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to mobilise €500 million for Ukraine's energy sector.
The loan, which would be financed under the EU's Ukraine Investment Framework, would allow Ukraine's state-owned Naftogaz to finance emergency gas purchases.

According to #Naftogaz's press release, the arbitral tribunal awarded the company $5 billion in compensation. The properties in #Vienna would cover only a small portion of that amount. The company estimates the value at €120 million.
