Chromebooks are not PCs, right? They run Gentoo Linux. One of the clues in the #nytimesminicrossword today is “Chromebooks but not MacBooks”, and the 3 letter answer is “PCS”. I always thought of PCs as MS Windows on Intel hardware. Technically any of these devices used for personal use is a personal computer, but the old “Mac vs PC” was specific. Maybe it’s morphed into Apple hardware vs cheap commodity hardware. Or maybe the crossword just got it wrong. #macos #chromebook #linux
