All I want for Christmas is a better media player than #VLC as an #NPAPI plugin that supports #Windows x64 (it could've been Windows Media Player but sadly it's 32-bit only )
Man I wish Windows Media Player's #NPAPI plugin had a 64-bit version, because VLC sucks so much. It doesn't even do volume control per-tab or plugin instance...
Apparently the latest 2.53.22 version of #SeaMonkey no longer has binaries for 32-bit x86. I suppose it makes sense since they removed #NPAPI support (which I think is still a mistake, and ironically NPAPI could've helped them with the increasing amount of websites being designed only with Chrome in mind with an add-on like #SubWebView: https://github.com/teknixstuff/subwebview) so might as well make release engineering a bit easier.

@kate Not surprising, but still puzzling because flash isn't that old, and I'd say any sufficiently serious overview of web history would mention plugins at least in passing.

And I'm sure some Flash material could count as examples of what not to do.

I mean, even if some of the uses (most notably website navigation menus, and also website text+images content) were bad, one would think it'd still pop up.
