You may not like The Pet Shop Boys, and they are certainly no actors (I’m sure they’d say the same), but “It Couldn’t Happen Here” is a great wee curiosity. Unabashedly surreal, a plot - if there is one - that’s impossible to follow, but lovely to look at with lush visuals and more than a few legends of the British screen. Recommended to curators of the odd, and to vintage youth.
