From colleague Nakayla McLelland, wastewater testing last week detected traces of measles in Luna County.
The health department is advising residents to be on the alert, although no cases have been confirmed in the county yet.

#NewMexico Department of Health (#NMDOH) announced that 520 NM residents died by #suicide in 2020; this is an increase of five suicides as compared to 2019. NM had the fourth highest age-adjusted rate for suicides in the nation in 2019, (which is the most recent year for which US data are available). NM had a crude suicide rate of 24.6 deaths per 100,000 residents in 2020, which is 23% higher than the crude rate in 2010 (19.9 deaths per 100,000 residents).
