So, @BlowUpRadio listeners, we had some unexpected showers and downpours move through South Jersey this morning that model guidance wasn't really seeing until after I recorded today's weather update last night. And now we have some showers moving through northern and central NJ. #njwx

To all those @BlowUpRadio listeners out there, the SPC just upgraded nearly all of New Jersey to SLIGHT risk of severe weather later today. Decent amount of instability and shear could elevate storms that move through after 5 pm EDT. Storms could produce heavy rain, hail, lightning and damaging winds, but I am NOT seeing a tornado threat at this time. #njwx
