Biden-Harris Admin Establishes NIST Public Working Group for AI

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is launching a new public working group on Artificial Intelligence (AI) called the Public Working Group on Generative AI. The group aims to address the risks and opportunities associated with AI that can generate content such as code, text, images, videos, and music. It will build on NIST's AI Risk Management Framework and develop guidance to help organizations manage the risks of generative AI technologies. The working group will gather input on guidance, support testing and evaluation, and explore opportunities for productive use of generative AI.
