Creepy tech surveillance nightmare last night: I was being held captive in a labyrinthine industrial prison. Poorly lit, no immediate evidence that anyone else was around, but there were security cameras everywhere leading me to assume I was being closely monitored. I eventually found a few other people, all of whose hands had been surgically removed in order to prevent them from escaping down the steep cliffs surrounding the building.

After some discussion with my captors (which happened via intercom), I learned my imprisonment was a mistake and that I was to be released to the streets of a nearby city. A self driving car arrived at the gates, took me in to town, and slowed down at the presumed dropoff point. As I reached for the door handle, I saw that my hand was gone. (Or at least, the flesh and muscle was gone, leaving only skeletal digits.) The car sped up and returned me to the prison, the entire release narrative having been a carefully constructed means of psychological torture.

Anyway, I'm having waffles for breakfast.
