Fire in the hole : #GolfGTI digital #service record had 0 entries for #sparkplug replacement (also 0 service info after 2023 when car stopped being maintained by main dealers) so last night yoinked original plugs and replaced them with 4 new #NGK OEM equivalents.
Its quite possible the plugs I removed are original ones from 2018!
In Britain you don't even get a shadetree, just cold dark yard to work in so didn't get photos of actual process - had to fight a bit with connectors/harness to get coil packs off and Amazon dropped the ball on delivering coil pack removal tool and thin spanner (was able to use thin needle nose pliers to hold coilpack bolt whilst removing ground nut)
Tip: remove coilpacks when engine is slightly warm (whether or not you use the tool)

The EU's experience of subsidiarity is that the Commission is there to keep an eye on what happens - and we get trouble (like in Hungary) if they don't intervene when things go wrong.
