Das erste Mal in diesem Jahr den MSM Nomad eingesetzt und mit 35 Minuten Belichtungszeit die Galaxie NGC 4258 bzw.
Messier 106 aufgenommen.
M106 is one of those objects that rewards a closer look. What appears to be extra spiral arms is actually shock-heated gas pushed out of the galactic plane by jets from an active nucleus. This field also captures NGC 4217 edge-on, the interacting pair NGC 4231/4232, and several fainter neighbors.

"Here's a view into the central region of NGC 4258, aka Messier 106, a spiral galaxy 22 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici. This image is made from two Hubble WFC3 observation sets performed in March 2015 (PI Rupali Chandar)."
