Ich habe gerade nicht viel Zeit und Gelegenheit mich mit der #Astrofotografie zu beschäftigen. In den letzten Tagen habe ich mir trotzdem mit einem einfachen Setup mal den #Rosettenneben #NGC2238 vorgenommen. Es sind aus vielen ca 15-20 sec Aufnahmen über eine Stunde Gesamtbelichtungszeit zusammengekommen. Das ist das vorläufige Ergebnis.

ENDLICH mal wieder ein Abend mit Sternenhimmel! Endlich konnte ich mal am Dwarf mit einem um 50% erhöhten Gain von 90 bei 60 Sekunden Einzelbildbelichtungszeit experimentieren. Der Einfachheit halber mit NGC2238, dem Rosettennebel, als Zielmotiv. Schon bei der quick and dirty Bearbeitung am Handy ist das für 132 Minuten Belichtungszeit ziemlich schick.

Learning gibts heute nicht, aber ich bin froh, endlich wieder mal einen Sternenhimmel gehabt zu haben nach all den trüben Wochen.

What better way to start the new year than capturing some new photons, right?

This is called the rosette nebula. Located around 5000 lightyears from earth and spreading to a diameter of roughly 130 lightyears, the radiation from the young stars excites the atoms in the nebula, causing them to emit radiation themselves producing the emission nebula we see.
