The photo bot on a roll with strike photos. Keep in mind, switchboard operating was very much considered women's work. Gotta wonder how bad these all male presenting supervisors are f*ing it up. This was during a very large national strike that lasted 5 weeks. Workers won modest increases lower than initial demands. AT&T and Bell settled contracts with several independent locals first, apparently trying to divide and conquer. Afterwards the National Federation of Telephone Workers reorganized into the CWA. The CWA local was one of the unions which led the call for a General Strike recently during the ICE occupation.
