Targeting engineering scientists in energy research, NFDI4ING approaches the community from a methodological perspective, while NFDI4Energy focuses on research content.

The Research Data Day 2026 in Bremen was fully booked — 100 participants from academia, politics & industry, all talking data infrastructure, AI in research, and data sovereignty.
The throughline: future-proof research only works through collaboration, not isolated solutions. A message that resonates strongly with what we're building at NFDI4Energy. 🌱

▶ Milestones Achieved: The LDM NFDI Talk, tags and tag suggestions based on the OEO are integrated into the LDM, Flexfund projects are successfully completed (https://nfdi4energy.uol.de/about-us/#flex-fund).
▶ Goals Ahead: Integration of OEMetadata into the LDM, Move of OEP Servers.

🌱 Exchange, innovation, and collaboration at #OSMSES2026
Colleagues from our Task Area 5 (https://nfdi4energy.uol.de/task-areas/task-area-5-simulation-in-interdisciplinary-energy-research/) recently participated in the OSMSES 2026 conference, engaging with the international energy research community.
The focus was on co-simulation and modeling – key building blocks for
the integrated analysis of complex energy systems.
