'I have not yet come across any attempts to frame the work of political philosopher and psychiatrist Frantz Fanon as media theory; but I have found Fanon’s account of the Voice of Free Algeria in his 1959 *A Dying Colonialism* revelatory in terms of how he never refers to French colonial radio or native Algerian radio as a technology.
