Rule change proposal for college basketball. Well, it'd work basketball in general at all levels of organized play. If the game goes into overtime, everyone gets an additional foul. E.g. if you fouled out in regulation, when OT starts you are eligible to come back in the game until you foul again. I don't see a downside here.

#MarchMadness I will never understand the NBA scheduling multiple games during the early rounds of the Ncaa basketball tournament.
Human perspective: these players are literally your future.
Money perspective: Vegas is doing a lot more money on the tourney than NBA games tonight.

I disagree. If this were a military ceremony, or official federal government event, or any event with a military honor guard present, then it would be appropriate to expect all in attendance to stand for the National Anthem.

However, it was an intercollegiate basketball game. It's inappropriate to include pretentious displays of patriotism. And it is perfectly legal for anyone present to decline to stand for the Anthem if it's performed.

Resist the MAGA pressure to move closer to authoritarianism. Let's just enjoy the ballgame, shall we?
