I started following the Orange in 1980, back when they were still called the Orangemen. Otto wasn't their mascot yet. I was in Syracuse the summer of 1980 when the Carrier Dome was inflated. Untl Red Autry became the headcoach 3 years ago, Jim Boeheim was the only SU coach I'd ever known. He also grew up in the little town next to my home town. My dad had friends who went to high school with Jim Boeheim.
