County leaders vote to replace longtime chair of the Harris County-Houston Sports Authority

Commissioners Adrian Garcia, Lesley Briones, and Tom Ramsey voted to oust J. Kent “Kenny” Friedman, effective Friday, and replace him with Juan Garcia, an attorney and an official with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Judge Lina Hidalgo and Commissioner Rodney Ellis opposed the move.
