Taylor Swift appears courtside at Knicks vs. Spurs NBA Finals Game 4 at Madison Square Garden

Taylor Swift was among the high-profile celebrities in attendance at Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden. The Associated Press report notes that Swift sat courtside during the Wednesday night matchup, which drew significant attention both for the game itself and the star-studded crowd. She wore a blue T-shirt with a Knicks-themed parody design reading “Stevie Knicks,” reflecting the playful atmosphere surrounding her appearance. She was accompanied by singers Este and Alana Haim, who also wore customized Knicks-inspired shirts with humorous references. The event comes amid ongoing public speculation about Swift’s personal life, particularly reports suggesting that Madison Square Garden could be a potential wedding venue for her and NFL player Travis Kelce. However, these reports remain unconfirmed, and representatives for Swift have not commented on the matter. The article emphasizes that the arena’s event calendar does not currently list any private bookings for the suggested wedding timeframe. Swift’s appearance at the Finals adds to her recent history of attending major sporting events alongside Kelce, including NBA and NHL games. Madison Square Garden also holds personal significance for her career, as she first performed there in 2009 and later celebrated her 30th birthday at the venue. While the Knicks and Spurs matchup continued the Finals series drama on the court, Swift’s presence added additional media attention off the court, highlighting the intersection of sports and celebrity culture during one of basketball’s biggest events.

The National Black Arts Festival Names Harpist Angelica Hairston Winner of the $10,000 2024 Horizon Award

The National Black Arts Festival (NBAF)

The National Black Arts Festival (NBAF) is proud to announce the winner of the prestigious $10,000 Horizon Award for Emerging Artist: Harpist, Angelica Hairston.

Who is Angelica Hairston

Angelica Hairston is an Atlanta-based harpist, educator, sound practitioner, and change-maker. Renowned for her mastery of the harp and dedication to amplifying the voices of the African Diaspora, her performances intersect wellness and liberation, drawing global acclaim and garnering notable engagements like her 2023 Artist Residency at Palm Heights Resort in Grand Cayman, and 2024 appearances at esteemed venues like Carnegie Hall, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Woodruff Arts Center.

This highly coveted award is given annually to an up-and-coming artist of African descent who excels in music, visual arts, or film and has been working in their respective fields for at least three to seven years. Since 2021, the NBAF has granted $80,000 in awards to deserving emerging artists.

NBAF Horizon Award

“At $10,000, the NBAF Horizon Award for Emerging Artists is one of the largest grants to new artists available in the Metro Atlanta area, making it such an exciting and prestigious honor to be able to bestow upon an artist each year,” says NBAF Artistic Director, Oronike Odeleye.

“Angelica Hairston was not only unanimously chosen by our panel of celebrity judges for her talent and dedication to her craft, but she is also the first harpist to receive the award – and may be the first professional Black harpist many people have ever seen. We are so happy to support her career and look forward to her continuing to break professional barriers and expand the artistry of the genre as Black artists always do!”

The winner of this auspicious award was determined by a highly qualified group of celebrity judges in music that included R&B group Jagged Edge, award-winning drummer John “Lil John” Roberts, and TV personality and entrepreneur Trina Braxton.
