@animefeminist That's interesting, I didn't know there was such discussion in the fandom (largely because I'm not on TikTok), and I find particularly interesting the author's mention of Nana O not being defined by her relationship with a man, while throughout the entire manga she explicitly states how she completely emulates Ren, and, despite trying hard, she struggle to defines herself beyond him (Hachi's 'friendship' might offer a way out?)
