My World and Welcome to It 1x24 "The Fourth Estate" shout by RikerDonegal
**Allyn Ann McLerie.** A funny story that gets smarter and smarter as it goes on. Once again it starts with John and his editor - the wonderful Harold J. Stone - at loggerheads. Funny but we’ve seen it before. The twist comes when John submits a cartoon to his daughter’s school newspaper and the 10-year-old editor rejects it. Cue: John overreacting and Lydia being embarrassed by him. Very funny. However, the best part comes towards the end when the editor’s mother puts pressure on him to include the cartoon and he is all set to bow to this external pressure. John (in a wonderful scene) ends up coaching the kid on integrity and standing up for what you believe in, no matter what. In the end the kid doesn’t run the cartoon and John respects him for it. It’s a great episode. _Jan-Mar 1970: NBC aired My World and Welcome to It as the first show of Monday night prime time, directly before the No. 1 show Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In (s3). Against it, CBS had the No. 2 show Gunsmoke (s15) while ABC aired It Takes a Thief (s3)._ 10/10
