New music! Inspired by a project from Cities and Memory, and a Wolf Howl experience at Algonquin Park years ago.
We lined up along a dark campground road in total silence. The Naturalist howled, three times, but only received silence in return. Then two Naturalists called together. The forest on both sides of the road erupted in deafening howls from many, many wolves.
One of the coolest things I've ever experienced.

Since I put together some relatively easy flute-y lines in a few tracks on "Descends," I've started to try to figure out how to play them with my actual #flute.
Here's a snippet from "Descends I (memory)" that I re-recorded today with the real flute. You can hear me struggle to slide from D# to C# without hitting the D in between, but overall I think it sounds good.
Just a touch of reverb to meld it into everything else and you'd hardly know it was re-recorded:
