Thanks for responding. I’m not familiar with the tech side of things but I do notice if it’s really bad. The drama is character driven & while it’s not #myjourneytoyou or #fangsoffortune in terms of atmospherics I thought they did a good job. They gave us the character Princess Wanning though, a true study in psychopathy.
Still if we all liked the same things how could there be discussions? #cdrama
I’m still enjoying #theprincess’sgambit. I will start ep 16 next. I like that the ml is played by #liuxueyi who looks the part of a senior court minister capable of staying one or two steps ahead of his scheming peers. The drama reminds me a bit of #myjourneytoyou and that’s all I will say for now. #cdrama
I totally understand! If you’ve watched #myjourneytoyou she didn’t use the baby voice in that and like I said she used her “chest voice” in the last few episodes of #moonlight. I started the ski drama but she was so over the top cute and baby voiced I had to stop. #cdrama #estheryushuxi

I've added a few videos in followup posts to this thread for my review of 'My Journey To You', including the very haunting 'Distant Mountains Like Yesterday' by Chen Chusheng.
The soundtrack really helps make this show dark, disturbing, and emotionally moving. Chen's song is - in my opinion - the best piece in the OST and when they play it the sense are emotionally intensified.
For an American it's done in a familiar style, almost like a blend of Country and Bluegrass.
