Well, I've finally finished it (I've had it since Xmas). Geddy Lee's "My Effin' Life" is an emotional ”Big One” of a ride. I laughed (a lot, mainly at #Lerxst), cried (some passages are really tough) but, more importantly, celebrated this fantastic journey that, more than anything, encompassed the Canadian trio that was #Rush, and why I fell in love with them in the first place, way back in 1977. The memories evoked by reading about the albums in order, throwing me back to the times when I'd eagerly leg it to the shops to buy them on release day.... AND I still play them. Damn, this book even makes me want to join a band again. Anyone need a really steady, 60yo bass player in the #Tameside area? I'm no #Dirk but I can hold it down. Effin' loved this book. Mint. 10/10

Just got to the part in Geddy’s book where he takes an aside to talk about misinterpretation of “Freewill” and social responsibility:

Didn’t think I could love this guy more. Legend. ❤️
I waited until after Xmas, but I’m done with waiting now. It’s time to read Geddy Lee’s memoir.
