The #Belgian gov’s #myEbox service seems to state that if a notice arrives into your #eBox, you are automatically responsible for it as if you had read it. Is that correct or is my translation off? In principle they should know whether you logged in to fetch your notices. So it would only be reasonable to tag correspondence as “read” if you actually logged in. #lawFedi #askFedi
The Belgian #beID / #myEbox / #IRISbox mechanism now blocks Tor. I think this is kind of old news (~1 year) but I was finally able to confirm it.
If you use the #beID #myEbox / #IRISbox or whatever, the service used to send correspondence to you (#Digiconnect) uses MS Outlook. Thus all your docs are apparently seen by #Microsoft, IIUC. I plan to shutdown my eBox.
When #Belgian correspondence arrives in your #irisbox / #MyEbox, does the sender get an indication whether or not you’ve accessed the message? #AskFedi #Belgium
