Just sent my newly turned 18yo grandson Shua information on how to register to vote in the #MvskokeNation

#Mvskoke #Native #Indigenous citizenship, like in all Native Nations, has responsibilities, and there is a special election coming up.

@Tzipporah @Yocheved & mom are already registered to vote, now we have to request an absentee ballot. I just mailed mine, but it can also be done via email.
As they say, being Native isn't all feathers and beads...

I called the #MvskokeNation today to inquire about renewing my expiring tribal id (fyi ids expire, citizenship never expires). Every time I've called them over the years, it's been an amazingly pleasant experience.

Y'all have no idea how screwed up US gov't is. Well ok, maybe you do, but y'all have no idea how much better it could be for everyone. Everyone would be so much better off with #Native #Indigenous governance.

Me and my Grandmother Leola May Berryhill.

She went to see her ancestors 34 years ago. October 25, 1989 when I was 33.

She was born in the #MvskokeNation before the establishment of the so called State of Oklahoma in 1904. She was the youngest member of our family on the Dawes Rolls when she was 1 year old. Roll #814.

My mother was her first child. I am my mother's first child.
