Didn’t want to be near the building but I needed a wind break. Mixed results, but things that could be easily improved. Probably a minimal but powerful HeltecV4/18650 battery kind of thing.

The #SenseCAP Tracker T1000-E seems to do it all. A very impressive built-in antenna, GPS, temperature sensors, beeper speaker etc.
Unfortunately, it looks like it's an older firmware so I'm going to have to upgrade them before I get to play around with them.

Okay, today I received a proper Heltec T114 for 433 MHz - the frequency that - as it turned out - is being used here in Ukraine for #meshtastic.
I opened my #MuziWorks H2T and just swapped the board inside - no big deal. But I noticed two things:
1. There are indeed differences on the PCB (check photo)
2. The new 433 MHz board works with Siretta Delta12X antenna seemingly well while the 868 MHz board didn't really. Surprisingly I got way better results with a cheap Chinese antenna 🤷♂️
It arrived, but seems like it's just me for now 😂

Ok, I’m about to get my first #meshtastic device. Choosing one from #muziworks: either an R1 with external antenna or H2T (also with an external antenna and GPS).
Will be using it for fun and if need be - for communication in case of blackouts. Also will definitely take it on hikes.
