They took themselves pretty seriously... the back of the vinyl record album jacket has a plot under the heading "a unique programming concept". The plot has the track number on the X axis and each line has a different variable. Things like bpm, number of instruments etc. Supposedly the more to the right, the more the (passive) listeners are stimulated.

Couldn't resist picking this up... #muzak #vinyl #record. I have a bunch of music library records (from Canada, France, UK and US), but I don't think I had any muzak vinyl (aka elevator music).

Sehr oft, eigentlich fast immer, werden Wortbeitragsvideos mit imho sinnlosem/r Hintergrundsound/-muzak unterlegt.
Bin ich der Einzige den das komplett *nervt*, auch wenn der Content noch zu verstehen ist?
Sehe einfach null Sinn darin.

Muzak.

Every once in a while I’m in the mood for instrumental music that will help me find a calmer, gentler frame of mind in this chaotic world. For months I’ve been trying to achieve this with various symphony and other instrumental stations and tracks but it wasn’t quite what I was looking for. Then I stumbled upon this video of a couple of hours of Muzak. I realized that as a person born in the late 1960s, my mind was searching for a bit of Muzak.

I now play this in my office from time to time. It’s perfect music for me when I’m trying to find focus.

note: pls don't bother recommending rock n roll, c&w, or anything with any vocals. i like my #muzak to be unvoiced chill, drone, house, ambient, & ideally not trance [the constant rhythmic repetition wreaks havoc on my mind, somehow].

bonus points for lotsa bass, & darkness.

in my current daily-driver #Kinoite boot i have been favouring #clementine [flatpak], but yesterday changed to #shortwave [flatpak, on which btw atm "Drone Radio (mrg.fm)" listen.mrg.fm:8070/stream is quite nicely doing it for me].
