I drank a Japanese oolong needle tea from Obubu farm (Kyōto) a few weeks ago in Mūyo, a tea house in Helsinki 🍵

The aroma was like butter and honey with a discreet florality, and the taste had some edge and dryness but also sweetness, with a little bit of that butter and honey present again. Very comforting.
I think this was my first time drinking Japanese oolong, and it was quite different from the Taiwanese ones I'm used to. At first it was surprising, but I soon learned to love it.
It's always a pleasure to discover new teas and new tastes!

I also tasted their pine needle wakōcha from Obubu farm. It was soft and sweet, with a delicate pine needle freshness to it!

I'm happy I got to catch Panu Kannisto's photography exhibition 東京の静かな生活 / Hiljaiseloa Tokiossa on its last day! Really beautiful scenes of Tōkyō streets and nature. Inspiring and reflective. Thank you for sharing your art!

Repost: Pixelfed had corrupted my image, and even though it gave it some cool and retro glitchy vibes, I'd rather repost the original picture instead!

I had visited Muyō a few times since its opening, but only for tea tastings and events.
A few weeks ago, I finally got to sit down for some relaxing tea time with friends in this lovely space. We shared two Chinese teas: the red Yu Sen Xiang / Jade Forest Fragrance (pictured) and a Phoenix Dancong. Both were delicious, as was to be expected!

We were also served a refreshing drink of matcha and yuzu upon our arrival, which felt amazing in the summer heat Finland experienced at that time.

Thank you Xinyuan for the warm welcome as always 🥰
