If someone approaches you with an offer to promote your music, think about that: if anyone truly saw your potential, they would promote it for free. If you're still willing to "pay for play", remember that most promo services are manipulative scams. Even if you're trying to sell merch or whatever, you most likely won't get a proper ROI. Remember, if you're at that point, your music is most likely unmarketable, or it simply sucks.
