Guitarist Brian J, performing as Gitkin, has doing the world groove guitar thing for almost 10 years now, before it was quite widespread. He's still at it with a wide-ranging collection, almost as if a musical geography lesson in how the electric guitar can be used to get funky in almost any culture. The only problem with a dazzling debut release is that eventually you have to follow it up. For now, it's enough to just luxuriate in the banger-heavy first full length from this UK trio. Mystical and magical and groovy as heck, this is Turkish funk taken to the next level. Enjoy!
