Hochman, and he often has the habit of writing a slur or line across the first two notes of triplets. Does it mean anything in particular about how it should be played?

In "Yuve Yuve Yu" by The Hu, there's a part where a violin or similar instrument is made to sound like a neighing horse.
How does one write that in musical notation?
Do we actually have symbols for this or did someone just write: "goes horse mode here ↑"?
