I do love #MusicMap on #BBCRadio3 the programme where they plot a course towards a piece of music. Today we are going to finish up at Clara Schumann’s piano concerto. She was a child when she wrote it. So let’s listen to Brahms clarinet quintet. He wasn’t a child when he wrote this but he had been a child some years earlier.
Clara Schumann’s piano concerto is in written in A minor so next we’ll listen to the Verdi Requiem which has the note ‘A’ at a number of places throughout the work.
