If anyone wondered, apparently the real point of a mummers play is that when you finish the last spot you’re guaranteed a seat.
What a glorious day for a wassail! Had a lovely afternoon at the Rock Mill Centre, New Mills - excellent food, storytelling, Hayfield Mummers (proud to have played a very tiny part by looking after some apples 😂), hot spiced apple juice, and lots of singing!
