it’s about time to show some wiring and terminals again

Here’s another small KNX project 🫠
This time it’s quite manageable, using a 16-channel switching actuator for lighting, power outlets, and roof window drives in a museum. The new exhibition extension is to be controlled from the reception desk. For this purpose, a KNX touch panel with display is a great fit, as it allows everything to be easily operated by category.
It's time for the portable Space-Clock in cyber-neon!

Hey everyone, check out my smart NTP time-synchronized LED Advent candles with Wi-Fi!
I know, it’s a bit early, but that gives you more time if you want to build your own. 😉

It’s time for new projects. Like this small version of the Space Clock as an LED matrix.
It opens up even more possibilities.
Haven't posted about this topic in a while.
Kinda always looks the same anyway. 🫠

The project is finished!
It’s now called Space Clock because it should also be possible to display other variants on it, such as a binary clock, even though the Tix version is definitely the most impressive.
You can now find it at Haxko in Andernach, Germany, during opening hours.

And there’s more to discover
The Bambu Lab A1 Mini 3D printer really had to put in some work printing all those light limiters for me.
But things are coming along. I just need to finish the top row and work on completing the frame with the white fabric cover.
Once that’s done, you’ll be able to clearly see the squares when it’s turned on. I already tested it with a frosted plastic panel, and it looked really great. Of course, I didn’t take a photo of it, so it stays a surprise!
After receiving the components, it's time to start the TIX Clock project. 🪄
The WS2812B LEDs are controlled via the ESP32-S2 mini using MicroPython. The time is updated over Wi-Fi from an NTP server during boot.
Now that the TIX Clock is running, all that's left is the right case. It's clear that it needs to be a bit larger.
It's on the roof and connected.
Of course, this won’t just be left like that. It will be properly mounted.
