Mt Lassen

Mt. Lassen is the southernmost Volcanic peak in the Cascade Range and is located about an hour east of Redding California.
The mountain rises roughly 2,000 ft above the surrounding terrain and is one of the largest volcanic domes on earth.
I spent a few days up at Mt Lassen recently and hiked to the top of this beautiful mountain. The view from the top is amazing.

The view from the peak is well worth the hike as you look out over the Sacramento Valley with Mt. Shasta in the distance.
