Weird Pick 2 trophy run with mono-blue, of all things; the white cards in the image are the deck I could have made before realizing it was easier to just cut them all out. This deck did some silly things while drawing a ton of cards, but my first-pick Don & Leo never hit the field.

Tried to make the Mardu Blight deck work in MWM On The Edge and got utterly wrecked by Izzet Lessons the whole time. The creatures that use up blight counters are just too expensive and too understatted when they come in. Had probably a dozen of my Gnarlback Elms eat an immediate Firebending Lesson over the course of the event. Didn't even get the full 3 wins before I gave up in frustration. A whole frickin' pack's worth of rare wildcards I sank into this hoping I could make it do the thing. #MTGArena

@GrimDeck @Fruan @BluJBird Yeah I played a few matches with it yesterday (on Arena of course), I see what you mean. I have yet to see Springleaf Drum really pop off though.

I suppose I have a few days before everyone on Arena starts playing decks designed to beat it, I'll see if I can take advantage of that time 😀

Bit mixed feelings after 1st glance to the new #mtg set at #mtgarena . Usually I get instinct where to go first ("oh I want to try golgari tribe/dimir deck destroyer/monowhite life pump...) but now the mechanics are all over the board 🤷‍♂️

Ok, drei Trophies hintereinander hatte ich glaube ich noch nie. 🥳
Schade, dass #MTGECL schon wieder vorbei ist, ich mochte das Set. Und wie man sieht, kam ich damit auch ganz gut klar. 😉
Eine Winrate von 66% (genau gesagt 41:21) hatte ich bisher nur bei LTR (und fast bei OTJ).

The other day, in #MtGArena #Brawl, I was playing an Orzhov control deck and was facing another control deck. My opponent's deck exlusively relied on their commander to win (Katara). My hand was filled with removal. Theirs was probably filled with counterspells. We both did nothing but play lands for 5 turns, waiting for the other to do something to respond. Then my opponent got tired of it and conceded. The ultimate control matchup victory: winning a staring contest.
