Similar to copying/moving messages in #ClawsMail, which I've been using as my #GUI IMAP client under #OpenBSD this year. In turn, it reminds me of @atow's excellent #MsgFiler extention for #AppleMail, which I used for years under #MacOSX (these days, #macOS).

Here I was pining over the loss of my favorite Mail.app plugin, MsgFiler, after having upgraded to macOS Sonoma when I come across this blog post on their site that points out that you can actually do a similar (but far less polished thing) by invoking the Help menu with Command-Shift-/ and typing the target folder name.(...)

I gave up on Apple’s #Mail app for #macOS several years ago and I am a very happy #MailMate user, with built-in support for @mjtsai’s #SpamSieve and with a built-in feature for filing mail away with the keyboard that works just as well for me as #MsgFiler (which I had) did in Mail.

However, #Mail is still used and will continue to be used by several people I support, and I have set them up with SpamSieve, so I will have to monitor the situation closely. https://mastodon.social/@mjtsai/110544002523032547

As a daily user of MsgFiler (because Apple still makes it incredibly awkward to file messages in specific folders after you’ve read them), this is a bit worrying, since it will stop working under Sonoma and thus completely break my personal workflow.(...)
