Christianity, or any religion for that matter, isn’t my issue but #Evangelicals #ChristianRight are …special. Any person or group that forces/shoves their moral beliefs on others under the guise of “God’s will” is misguided to say the least

reminded not just that most western colonies are built on some truly horrendous notions, which for some reason, few find embarrassing or shameful. at the same time it’s always interesting to get fragments of an answer to the question “what on earth are they thinking?”

some people believe the left is too fractured for it’s own good, or that the right is some unified monolith.
a line from bella abzug’s character “you can only pluck one chicken at a time”, but i believe the biggest failure during first and second waves of feminism was an unwillingness to act intersectionally. without a vision of what we are moving *toward*, we can only be reactionary.

i’ve never felt gushy about cate blanchett’s choices of roles, but i think she does a creditable job here. to be fair, the real phyllis schlafly’s daughter says her mother was never as indifferent to family as portrayed here.
