PhoenixSerenityIt's now 9 months since I tried contacting BC & Canada govts about abandoned #FishFarm hatchery site in #UnionBay on #VancouverIsland owned by #MowiInternational for multiple #environmental #ecosystems #violations & irresponsible industry actions/lack thereof. There's #toxic wastewater #contaminating soil & fish bearing creek there. Almost no proper cleanup was done. It's a #biohazard site & should be fully cleaned up. Abandoned for about a decade. Wifi & power still runs there, on public tax $.
So much industrial junk was just left there. There's very little cleanup that was done & that's evident when you are on site. There's a dumping pond at end of property & it reeks of toxic stuff. We saw dead plants & dying trees around that manmade dump pond. I reported myself because site should be tested (soil & water) for contamination & pollution. Fish bearing creek is beside site.
