After a few days of using this technique, and trying to chop the cold #porridge into finer and finer bits to make it soak and blend better with fresh water before reheating, I suddenly realised I had a better solution at hand.

And because it hadn't been #donated away, and also because it was now in a spot where I could easily find and retrieve it …

… I was able to start using my very own handheld, easy to use and clean #PorridgeTenderiser to make reheated porridge have the perfect as-if-freshly-cooked #texture!

And so, dear readers, I am delighted to announce that I have successfully made myself homemade #porridge for over a month now.

It is delicious. It is #nutritious. It is easy to add things to change it up a bit, such as spices or fruit.

The one challenge/opportunity is that the recipe my family member passed to me makes enough for three LJLP (LikelyJanLukas Portion) servings.

The idea of cold porridge didn't exactly sound thrilling to me. Nor did reducing the recipe ingredient portions, as while #cooking with the #RiceCooker is easy, sometimes #cleaning it is challenging (primarily when I have to rush to an appointment or am having a #JellyFish day where I cannot stay standing for very long).

Considering this problem, I wondered whether the additional portions could be re-heated and still be palatable? #MouthFeel is important to me and whilst I will choke down something I can't stand the texture of, two out of three breakfasts like that would be miserable.

What to do?

Despite very much NOT liking tapioca when I tried it earlier this year I just had my first ever Boba tea (raspberry) and it's .. it was okay?

I dunno what I was expecting, Boba tea enjoyers made out it was akin to a party in my mouth and it was just .. ok. 🤷🏿‍♀️

#Mouthfeel research is being applied to products in the beef industry to determine how to improve #consumption. The texture of a hamburger patty can determine whether consumers enjoy it or not, depending on what type of eater they are – cruncher, chewer, sucker or smoosher.

Mouthfeel of food determines whether people go back for seconds - AgriLife Today

Texas A&M Sensory Science Evaluation Laboratory analyses how people taste food and how that determines purchases Are you a sucker, cruncher or chewer … maybe even a smoosher? Think about it: how do you taste your food? Texture has been one of the trends in food product messaging for several years, said Rhonda Miller, Ph.D.,

Behold! It's the season's tradition, a #festive #polish #salad. Potatoes, hard boiled eggs, carrots, red onions and gherkins, a bell pepper and I swapped peas for sweetcorn for better #mouthfeel, all mixed with mayo. Gonna serve it tomorrow with some veg roast.

@_RachelHandley Any rules people set about how an artist or poet *should* do something are up for debate.

Do whatever you feel is best. I like 'Wind Egg' in part because without context, I'm not sure how to pronounce the first word. Good #mouthfeel.
