Sitting down to start reading one of the books I got as a Christian present and just from the author's note I am confident I am going to enjoy Daniel Light's work.

That quote I think also sums up my interest in mountaineering books and the like, not only can they be a fascinating adventure to read about and a great historical account, but they can transport you from wherever you are reading to some truly spectacular places.
