Since my blog is catching up with my stitching, I thought I would revisit Stella's Birds..

The inspirations are Elizabeth Goudge's book, "Gentian Hill", medieval imagery and Mountmellick embroidery.

For exciting reasons I'm not prepared to talk about yet, I'm revisiting Stella's Birds and really hope to get the design settled soon..

Just to catch everyone up, this is going to be a design inspired by a scene in Elizabeth Goudge's novel "Gentian Hill", in which a woodcarving in a church is described. I'm intending the stitching to be vaguely Mountmellick inspired, with lots of textural stitches, and the birds are going to be mad and medieval...
