End of the Grimannsfell footpath

Because we had to reroute again on the second day on our take on the Lechquellenrunde in June 2024, we started the day with an unplanned summit ascent.

From Stuttgarter Hütte it took us roughly an hour to reach the Fanggekarspitze (2640 m). Gladly the snow-covered path was already groomed.
While the weather on the hut was lovely, it got really cold, windy, grey and misty the higher we got. Sight distance was probly between 10 to 15 meters at the peak.

The hike towards the next hut (still day 2!) will be featured in another post next Thursday.

Duration: 2 hours and 15 minutes (including small breaks)
Length: 4.25 km
Elevation: 2310 m to 2640 m
Ascent/Descent: 350 m ↑ and 350 m ↓
