I've long believed that the #BritishColumbia #MotorVehicle Act makes it unlawful for a four-year-old to ride their bike on a sidewalk.

Today, I uploaded a PDF of the Act into #NotebookLM and asked #Gemini , to see what a machine can mine out of it.

For what it's worth, the thing concurs. If a municipality does not make a bylaw allowing otherwise (exception under section 124), indeed it is not lawful for a even four-year old to pedal their bike on a sidewalk according to 183(2)(a).

I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and it's obvious why more Americans die from #MotorVehicle causes every year than die of #firearms related causes.

We don't regard ubiquitous motor vehicles as potentially deadly in the aggregate.

We regard our #freedom to be #careless and #reckless with #cars as more important than the lives of others.

We see the deaths of others as the appropriate price they should pay for our #liberty.
