I was pulling weed in a corner of my backyard and I almost stepped on this beautiful creature. It's a hummingbird hawk-moth (Macroglossum stellatarum). Enjoy a moment of magic...
(ALT text here as I can't add to a video. It's a hummingbird hawk-moth on my hand, fluttering its wings, and when I brought it to blooming dark pink snapdragon flowers, it showed a split second interest, and flew off)

Saw this interesting "Flying IUD" last night...

Per iNaturalist:
The T-Moth or Morning-glory Plume Moth (Emmelina monodactyla) is a moth of the family Pterophoridae. It is found in Europe, Japan, central Asia, North Africa and North America.

It was resting under the neighbor's porch light last night as I was leaving their house.
