I picked up my new #bamakey #TPIII #morsekey today from the post office and took it out for a #POTA activation for great success, works great. #pota #sota #wwff #CW activating US-10658 with two DX QSOs hunting me, one from #hungary and one from #mexico.

Does an electronic #CW #morsecode #keyer have any buffering?

Eg. If I am sending N, I start with Dah, but before it completes move the #paddle to send Dit.

Does: the Dah complete, proper inter-element space inserted, and then the Dit sent;
or what?

What if I generally key faster than the selected WPM for a character or two then pause. Will it catch up properly?

I need a #Morsekey.

I am progressing slowly, but nonetheless progressing, with learning #cw. Now need sending practice.

Which key should I ask Father Christmas to bring? (FC's budget is generous, but not unlimited)

I realise that this is much like walking into a yacht club bar and asking when, and to whom, should I dip my ensign.

Still, I do need the advice.

During the week an old Clansman PRC320 Morse key I got from a popular auction site arrived. Yesterday I gave it a clean up and fitted a replacement 3.5mm jack on it.

Got it on the air after finishing the job - I'm guessing for the first time in years. The couple of QSOs I had went well despite a few operator mistakes and I'm really happy with the way it works 😃

The plan is to use this for portable use and on activation's where the knee strap should hopefully help.
