@SJohnRoss The #MorrowProject also catches my eye everytime on my bookshelf… but it has a strong "survivalist MAGA" vibe which repeals me. I can only imagine to play some kind of ironic version of it, like a "Musk project" where the PC wake up half-alive somewhere and somewhen totally improbable (because oversold tech that was trashed and forgotten as soon it was launched, the PC being also left to rot in their cryobeds)

@PaddyHatchet I have always been a sucker for the setup of the Morrow Project, with characters who were put on ice one way or another in order to rebuild civilization after the end, and then being awakened to discover more time has transpired than expected, or things went an entirely different way, and they have to re-establish what they knew.

That's just such a compelling hook whenever it shows up.

Other things that could have happened today but didn't – creating a 4th Edition Morrow Project character, but then I started looking at the actual process and remembered why I would rather put my eyes out with hot pokers.

Which is a shame because the Morrow Project (and by extension Living Steel which is shockingly similar in premise) is one of my favorite setting conceits. You emerge from nothingness into chaos and you have to set it to order – by whatever means you consider necessary. You have advanced knowledge and capabilities but not necessarily resources. See to it, fancy lad.

Actually, I'm pretty sure I could do this almost out-of-the-box with #Starforged … And I'm tempted to try it. But that's a much larger writing project and to do it right, I'd have to first do a proper mecha supplement because many giant robots. We always need a robots.
